Give > Take

The most deeply fulfilling human experience is to do something for others without expecting anything in return. Anyone who has had done that in any form, even in the smallest way, can attest to this.

This may seem counterintuitive in a world where success is measured by how much one manages to take.

But if we accept for a moment for this to be true, the shortest path to a fulfilling life is to simply give more than one takes. No calculus, no metrics. Just generosity and gratitude.

The ‘soft’ plus is my ‘logo’ and giving more than I take is my ‘brand.’ This means different things in different contexts, but works well as a guiding principle.
